This program covers a variety of issues in nutrition support, including enteral and parenteral nutrition, fluid and electrolytes, feeding the obese patient, feeding the post surgical patient and more.

The Dietitian's Role in Diabetes Management: A Diabetes Workshop for Dietitians.
Speakers:
Dianne Davis, RD, LDN, CDE - has extensive experience in intensive management of type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes as well as health promotion and weight management
Becky Gregory, MS, RD, LDN, CDE - has many years of experience in clinical management of patients with type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes
• This 2-day 'hands-on' workshop is designed to prepare dietitians for their role as an integral part of the diabetes team.
• The workshop provides guided exercises that simulate patient encounters.
• Topics covered include:
- alternative meal planning strategies
- strategies for nutrition with meds
- working with blood glucose records
- a systematic approach to helping patients with behavior change.
• The workshop has been presented to 1081 registered dietitians in 32 locations since it began in 1994.
