The Dietitian's Role in Diabetes Management: A Diabetes Workshop for Dietitians
Speakers:
Dianne Davis, RD, LDN, CDE - has extensive experience in intensive management of type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes as well as health promotion and weight management

Becky Gregory, MS, RD, LDN, CDE - has many years of experience in clinical management of patients with type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes
• This 2-day 'hands-on' workshop is designed to prepare dietitians for their role as an integral part of the diabetes team.
• The workshop provides guided exercises that simulate patient encounters.
• Topics covered include:
  - alternative meal planning strategies
  - strategies for nutrition with meds
  - working with blood glucose records
  - a systematic approach to helping patients with behavior change.
• The workshop has been presented to 1081 registered dietitians in 32 locations since it began in 1994.
